Book I
Genesis
Reachin' Stick - The very first jaV storyline. Tac loses his book in a tree, and fashions a way to retrieve it. Beautiful in it's simplicity, still many people's favorite, which basically means the comic has only gotten worse. (September 26th 1999)
Leave a monkey, Take a monkey - First appearance of Komo. First appearance of graphic violence. It was a first on so many levels, reminding me of the first time I had sex. (It was dark, and I was alone! *rimshot*) (October 1st 1999)
Huntin' Grizz - It's bear huntin season, and one fat little bastard named Bob wants to kill Trout. Chaos ensues. (October 8th 1999)
Spotted Trees and Celebrity Skin - Epic jaV storyline involving Calista Flockhart and Ricky Martin. Lots of gratuitous violence! Strip shifts to color half-way thru. (October 25th 1999)
Bad Jokes made Worse - A short 2 strip diversion with really bad jokes, made far worse. (November 20th 1999)
French Canadians - The French-Canadian Yo-Yo Mafia kidnaps Trout's Thanksgiving turkey. There's beatin's all around! (November 22nd 1999)
Tic-Tac - Tac is voted the least popular character in the strip, and is subsequently phased out. Funny things happen...TO THE EXTREME!! (October 15th 1999)
Long Strange Trip - Trout recieves a mysterious Christmas present which sends the strip spiralling into a flashback. Includes brief stints as a picnic basket prostitute, and Grateful Dead roadie. (December 23rd 1999)
Book II
Exodus
Fire Britches - Komo's flaming gas sets the forest on fire, forcing the gang to relocate. Also casts further shadows over the 1980's Television series 'Quantum Leap'. (December 31st 1999)
Vagrant Story - Their home in flames, the boys turn to the mean streets of whichever city they live in, running into various hobo-related problems. Also Trout steals a large sum of money, I think. A favorite of my social worker mother. (January 10th 2000)
Travel Plans/The Philbin Incident - Fed up with life on the street, Tac and Trout try to find a new place. Includes the fan favorite Komo Vs. Regis interlude. (January 21st 2000)
Eddie's Computer - Short interlude. A nerd, fed up with the insane length of the current jaV storyline, abandons his computer in search of a life. The computer then makes intolerant remarks and tries to take over the world. (February 17th 2000)
The English Patients - The boys head across the pond and enjoy foul tasting british beer and start an old fashioned soccer riot! First appearance of Jesse. (February 21st 2000)
The Wrap-up - Finally, this long stupid storyline draws to an end. Our heros shack up with Jesse and Regis rears his ugly head again. What a turd that guy is. First appearance of Chris. (March 30th 2000)
Book III
Civillization
Cool-off One-shots - A string of one-shot strips to counteract the previous lengthy storyline. Strips include a Dan Package urinal cake commercial and Komo in the microwave. (April 28th 2000)
That lady is a Tramp - Chris and Trout go bar-hopping. This leads to Chris and Komo being rushed to the hospital and Trout getting married. Just a regular night. (May 16th 2000)
harpO's Hold - Trout develops an unhealthy and morally disturbing obsession with Oprah, and an old aquaintance rises from the ashes to gut him. Family fun! (October 11th 2000)
The Gayest Storyline in the World - Chris and Trout have waaaaaaaay too much fun with a milk sticker. Guys will probably find it hilarious. *includes no graphic depictions of gay sex...sorry.*(September 17th 2001)
